Dubai: Prepare for humid evenings this weekend along the coast coupled with some foggy early mornings and a slight increase in temperatures during the day.

Forecasters from the National Centre of Meteorology said Friday’s weather will continue to be humid at night and early morning. Dubai, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah will have 90 per cent humidity on Friday, with Dubai reaching 95 per cent on Saturday. Fujairah will also peak at 90 per cent on Saturday from 75 per cent the day before.

During the day, weather will be fair in general and most areas of the country will be sunny. The northern and eastern tip of the country such as Ras Al Khaimah will be cloudy, while Fujairah will be partially cloudy.


Winds will be light to moderate with speeds ranging from 10km/h to 25km/h, reaching 35km/h. Waves will be light to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman on Friday.

Fog might form over coastal area early Saturday morning times while it will be partly cloudy to fair and hazy in general during the day and hazy at times during daytime.

The mercury will rise by 1 degree Celsius to 2C. Dubai’s temperature will range from a minimum of 18C to a maximum of 30C on Friday to 19C (minimum) to 32C (maximum) the next day. Sharjah’s minimum temperature of 16C on Friday will increase to 17C the next day and maximum temperature will increase by two degrees on Saturday.

Sunday will be fair to partly cloudy in general and hazy at times, with another rise in temperatures.

Light to moderate wind, freshening at times, may cause rising dust especially over western areas.

Convective clouds may form on Monday over the mountains while the rest of the country will be fair to partly cloudy in general and hazy at times.
