Dubai: The Sadhwani Hasya Kala drama group staged the suspense and comedy play Seedhe Raaste - Tedhi Chaal (Straight Road - Crooked Walk) in Hindi on Friday.

It was held at the Shaikh Rashid auditorium, the Indian High School, and was attended by chief guest Madhu Sethi, head of the chancellery, Indian Consulate.

The play Seedhe Raaste - Tedhi Chaal was written, directed and produced by Narendra Sadhwani. It is the story of a retired doctor Gyanchand whose aim is to get his son Sailesh settled and marry to Meena, his girlfriend and transfer his whole property to him.

But his brother a con-artist, Kumar, wishes to have possession of his full property and conspires to kill him with the help of Bhupendra - a killer, who suggested he get Sailesh to marry a girl (Sneha) of his group - that way there wouldn't be any need to get involved in crime by killing the doctor.

But the tables turn when the girl instead of helping Kumar and Bhupendra suddenly changes her mind when she gets consent from Sailesh to take control of his property and decides to marry her, avoiding Meena.

The play besides having suspense, continues with a comedic touch by Kalavati and Champak the neighbours with Prem, Sailesh's uncle and his servant Rambharose.

The artists are Shaileshkumar Upadhyay, Dipakkumar Darji, Kailash Dudeja, Gulshan Narang, Jyoti Sahajwani, Jyoti Waghwani, Vikram Prasad Sharma, Nikita Chawla, Sarthak Darolia and Narendra.

The stage co-ordination by Pooja Ahuja, Preet Baherwani & Rajni Shyam Chainani, Stage Designing by Lakshman Rao, Light & Sound by Mukesh Khattar, Music & Song composing & singing by Rishi Soni (Haresh) and Photography is done by Ramesh Vaswani.
