First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) is putting me in a difficult situation, as they took my money and are not giving me a clearance letter.

I have two credit cards with them and I had some financial issues, due to which, I was unable to clear my debts. But, after receiving too many calls from Al Wasl International Group on behalf of FAB, they offered me a settlement amount that amounted to Dh15,000.

I paid it at the same time; I have all the receipts and conversations on email. I tried calling and visiting the bank’s branch, but they ignored my calls and told me to wait. But, it has been almost three months now.

I request Gulf News to please help me find a solution or raise this issue with them to get it resolved.

From Mr Noman Sami

Abu Dhabi

The management of FAB responds:

FAB supports the growth ambitions of its stakeholders and goes beyond financial products and services, and as such, we are grateful for all customer feedback as we strive to consistently deliver the highest standards of service.

The bank has been in contact with Mr Sami, and the matter has been resolved.

Mr Sami responds:

Yes, the bank did contact me. I have received a clearance letter from FAB through email. I thank Gulf News for helping me resolve this issue.
