A few days ago, there was an incident of a four-year-old boy falling to his death from his apartment’s window (“Boy dies after fall from Sharjah building”, Gulf News, March 18). Even in the past, similar incidents of children falling from buildings have been reported. But, unfortunately some people still do not learn from such mishaps.
I noticed this young boy sitting in the window the same day as the report was published (as seen in photograph). By taking this photograph I wanted to raise concern regarding irresponsible behaviour on part of the parents towards their children.
This is a residential building in Sharjah and the child was casually sitting on the window pane. Anything could have happened. Parents should be more careful and learn from other people’s mistakes.
