Summer has already arrived and people are going to feel the scorching heat as the temperature rises.

The provision of bus shelters by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai is a great initiative towards helping people stay away from the scorching heat of the sun.

But what is the use when air conditioners inside the shelters are not working? There are several bus shelters in this condition around the city.

Moreover, if people wait under the sun for long hours they may expose themselves to sunburn and heat stroke.

It may just be the beginning of summer, but if necessary action is taken immediately, it will help ensure bus shelters are air-conditioned and passengers do not suffer from the extreme heat and humidity. Many people use public transport to commute.

I would also like to suggest that the authorities install water dispensers inside bus shelters which would be a great service for commuters.
