Failing to serve purpose
A warning sign comes too late, according to Gulf News reader Nusrat M. Ali Syed. She said: “While travelling from Dubai to Ras Al Khaimah by Emirates Road, we see a signboard that clearly indicates there is no petrol station ahead. But the point to note is that the information board appears almost two kilometres after we have passed the last petrol station. If we need to refuel, we have to travel at least two kilometres to take a U-turn to get back to the petrol station. Eventually, this signboard becomes a disaster for motorists whose fuel tank is already blinking ‘empty’ as they search for the next chance to fill up.”
