The fashion gaming app Drest has joined forces with jewellery brand Messika through the relationship with fashion icon Kate Moss. As part of the collaboration, Kate Moss’s avatar will pop-up on the app until April 11.
The idea is to allow users to adorn Kate’s avatar with a stunning selection of Messika jewellery from the Messika By Kate Moss collection. The signature collection will be also be added to the Drest platform for users to create their own looks with the exclusive jewellery.
Users will also have the opportunity to buy pieces from the collections, through E-Commerce enquiries on the platform. Not only is this collaboration an interesting way to engage audiences, it is also enabling them to experience the collection in the closest manner possible to real life.
For the uninitiated, Drest is a fashion gaming app which several people in the industry are branding as ‘the future of E-Commerce’. The app is a fully interactive luxury metaverse, where users get to style a variety of model avatars. Expectedly, the roster of supermodels officially affiliated with Drest is substantial and are represented as lifelike avatars.
To add a further twist, the selection of fashion and accessories, with the users ‘look’ are graded by other players. In essence, the higher a participant’s look is rated, the higher their score, which, in turn, translates to payments. Users can then use the points they garner to purchase more virtual clothing and accessories. Additionally, users can also buy real-life apparel and accessories in-app.
Currently, major houses such as Fendi. Valentino, Gucci, Cartier and Bulgari are collaborating with Drest for gaming challenges.
