Dream move
JC de Vera signed a two-year contract with ABS CBN last week. The actor, who was originally a GMA talent who crossed over to TV5, is now officially a Kapamilya. At a press conference announcing the contract signing, de Vera said signing up with his new home studio was a dream come true. His first project will be a stint with the network’s top drama anthology, Maalaala Mo Kaya. He also announced that he has severed ties with his former handler, Annabelle Rama, and is now being managed by Leo Dominguez. Different ending
Beauty queen-turned-TV celebrity Venus Raj finally spoke to the media about her break up with Andre Felix. Raj revealed that she initiated the separation because the relationship has affected her family negatively. It turns out Raj entered into a relationship with Felix against the wishes of her family. For this reason, the dusky beauty queen had been incommunicado with the family for several months. Raj also said she has had to adjust her personality just to keep the relationship, but in the end was unhappy about her decision to do so. Before admitting to the break up, there were rumours of Raj being seen at bars with her now ex-boyfriend in a drinking binge. Raj denied these sightings.
