Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has received the BrandLaureate Legendary Award for his contribution to the Hindi film industry, and for being India’s foremost brand ambassador in Malaysia.
The BrandLaureate Legendary Award has previously been given to the likes of former South African president Nelson Mandela, Nobel Laureate Mohammad Younus, Indian businessman Ratan Tata, late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, Facebook CEO Marck Zuckerburg and F1 ace Michael Schumacher.
The 47 year old was in Malaysia to attend the birthday party of former Prime Minister of Malaysia Mahathir Bin Mohammad on Thursday evening.
“It is an honour to be given the BrandLaureate Legendary Award. It is always a pleasure to be amongst friends and to be given so much love and motivation to do better,” Khan said in a statement.
The actor was honoured by the Asia Pacific Brands Foundation, and received the award from Robert Loh, founder of Lord’s Tailor, KK Johan, president, The BrandLaureate, and the former prime minister.
