Arab India Spices Group has joined a growing list of businesses, institutions and individuals announcing their support of the “1 Billion Meals Endowment” campaign, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to establish the largest Ramadan sustainable food aid endowment fund.
The Group announced a contribution of Dh5 million towards the campaign, which aims to provide a food safety net for underprivileged populations in countries struggling with food insecurity.
Arab India Spices pledged to contribute Dh5 million over a period of 5 years to help implement sustainable programs to fight and eradicate hunger within an institutional framework.

Dr. Harish Tahiliani, Managing Director of Arab India Spices, said: “By launching the “1 Billion Meals Endowment” campaign, the UAE once again underscores its unwavering commitment to expanding the scope of charity and humanitarian work in order to include tens of millions of afflicted individuals around the world. Since its launch coinciding with the month of Ramadan, the “1 Billion Meals Endowment” campaign has seen a community-wide response, and continues to welcome donations and contributions to the endowment fund from institutions and individuals across five main channels including the campaign’s website (www.1billionmeals.ae), as well as a dedicated call center via the toll free number (800 9999).
