The Diva war continues

A fight between two stars is natural in showbiz, but it's more newsworthy when it involves divas like Elissa and Nawal Al Zoghbi. In an interview, Nawal was quoted as saying that Elissa was older than her, but since she had started singing long before Elissa, she had a more fruitful career. Then some magazines quoted Elissa retorting to Nawal's statement by claiming she was facing some serious issues. This alleged response by Elissa was unusual.

It wasn't long before Elissa denied that she had ever said anything in response to Nawal's statement. She said it was not her style to respond to what other people say about her, because nothing anyone says has any value. Now, that's the Elissa we know!

Husni fights a pap

A trip to Beirut last week turned unpleasant for young star Tamer Husni, when a tussle with a paparazzi took him to the police station. According to Husni, the photographer disrupted a party held by the cast of Noor Aini to celebrate the completion of the filming in Lebanon.

He first tried to grab Husni's attention by saying he was the best Egyptian star. When that didn't work, he provoked him by saying rude things about Amr Diab. Husni responded by stating that he didn't accept such behaviour as he respected all stars and upheld their dignity like his own. The two ended up in a fight before a witness called the police. Once the officials arrived, they interrogated both men before releasing Husni.

Following the incident, Husni returned to Cairo.
