The project promoted by AIDA - Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Aveiro - includes several types of different initiatives that were developed until the end of this month of March, to provide a productive and enriching experience to businessmen from the Aveiro district.

ADE initiated around 7 different types of initiatives that directly involved more than 500 businessmen from the district.

During the course of the project, 3 different events were organized with the purpose of sharing knowledge on subjects such as trade and digital exportation and identification and study of target markets: a webinar on digital trade in the post-pandemic context (October 2021); another one on digital exportation (February 2022) and a Session related to target markets.

Two surveys (196 respondents) were also developed and analyzed to evaluate the results and the impact of the project in general.

With the specific objective of providing SMEs with the necessary skills to intensify their digital and international impact, 60 training sessions were held - the Digital Labs, with actions taking place in all municipalities of the District of Aveiro, with a total of 973 participations.

Regarding the sessions of knowledge and prospection of foreign markets, AIDA participated in eight international fairs, along with some Portuguese companies. It selected the markets that could be more advantageous to SMEs, taking into account the level of imports from foreign countries and the type of imported products. Thus, for the prospection visits, countries such as Canada, the UAE, the USA, Japan, the Netherlands and Italy were chosen. With this, the goal was to promote its companies and attract investments to the District of Aveiro.

Two support guides for companies and the respective international investors were also elaborated (Digital Export Guide and International Investor Support Guide), three studies that allowed for the sharing of knowledge with SMEs in the promoted sessions (Best Export Practices Study, Digital World Book and Target Markets Study) and 10 informative White Papers (on digital tools and marketing) that served as a basis for the Digital Labs distributed throughout the district of Aveiro.

With the purpose of promoting the entrepreneurial fabric of the Aveiro region and attracting layers of international investors to the city, a promotional video entitled "Invest in the Aveiro Region" was also made.

The various initiatives developed throughout the project were supported by more than 15 entities which, by their area of expertise and level of knowledge in the themes of exportation and digitalization, allowed to add value and boost an evolution to more than 400 SMEs in the Aveiro district.

In addition to Dubai, the ADE project was present in markets such as Netherlands, the Canada, Italy, Japan and the United States.
