Dubai: Dubai Entrepreneurship Academy on Monday announced the launch of a series of training programmes and workshops for the second half of 2015. The Academy said in a statement that it will launch up to 20 workshops during that period.

Abdul Baset Al Janahi, the CEO of Mohammad Bin Rashid Establishment for SME Development, said in a statement that the organisation aims to stay aligned with the requirements of the market.

“We take into account the economic variables and the investments climate at the local and regional scale. Therefore, we are working with our partners at the private and the public sector, in which we cooperate with financial institutes and research institutes to provide the latest developments and data that are compatible with the environment and labour of SMEs,” he said.

According to the statement the number of participants in the Academy’s workshops have increased by 133 per cent in the first half of the year, compared to the corresponding period in 2014. Due to this increase, the Academy has launched the 7th session for the diploma in entrepreneurship that will begin in early September and the 6th session of the professional certificate in hospitality and restaurant management that will be launched in mid-October.

The Academy said that the courses provided in this round will differ from last year. It will be launching a number of workshops, lectures and trainings about brand building. This comes in partnership with the Canadian University in Dubai. It said it will also launch workshops on modern methods of increasing sales, and a workshop on cost control and reduction of waste of money.
