The motto ‘mettle to the top’ was inspired by Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense who said “The Saudis’ stamina is like the formidable mountain of Tuwaiq”.

The mountain which is formed of solid limestone can be seen from as far as 800 km from the southern border of Al Qasim in the north, to the northern edge of the Empty Quarter desert near Wadi ad-Dawasir in the south.
