Dubai: New coronavirus cases in Saudi Arabia has crossed the 200-mark for the first time in more than a month, when 226 people tested positive on Tuesday.

According to the Ministry of Health, the virus claimed six more lives in the last 24 hours.

This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 365,325 and virus-related fatalities to 6,335.

The ministry also reported 156 new recoveries over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people recovered from the deadly virus to 357,004.

The active cases also dropped to 1,986, out of which 327 are critical under intensive care.

Bahrain

A further 333 new COVID-19 cases have detected in Bahrain over the last 24 hours, bringing the total confirmed cases in the Kingdom to 97,940.

No new deaths were reported, keeping fatally tally at 360, the Ministry of Health said in its latest update. The newly confirmed cases have been detected among 151 expatriate workers, 178 new cases are contacts of active cases, and 4 are travel related.

There were 349 fresh recoveries, pushing total recoveries to 94,646. The active cases have now touched 2,934, including 2,918 that are stable, while there are 16 critical cases still under intensive care.

Qatar

The Ministry of Public Health today confirmed the detection of 225 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total infections in Qatar to 147,729.

No new fatalities were reported over the past 24 hours, keeping death toll at 248.

According to the ministry’s latest update, a further 203 patients have fully recovered, pushing the total number of people recovered from the virus across the country to 144,218.

Active cases have now touched 3,263, including 328 that are stable cases under treatment, while 31 cases are critical under intensive care.

Oman

The Ministry of Health reported 135 new coronavirus cases and two deaths in the Sultanate over the past 24 hours.

The total cases in the country have now touched 132,146, including1,516 deaths. An additional 185 patients have fully recovered, pushing total recoveries to124,398, according to the ministry’s latest update.

The ministry urged everyone to adhere to precautionary measures and social distancing protocols issued by the Supreme Committee tasked with tackling COVID-19.
