Cairo: Saudi civil defence teams rescued two persons after they had been stuck inside a lift in a residential building in the south-western city of Jizan, the online newspaper Ajel has reported.

The rescuers rushed to the site after the civil defence service was alerted about the breakdown of the lift in Jizan’s district of Suez.

The two, stuck inside the lift, were recovered safely.

“The civil defence teams reached the site urgently and completed the mission in a record time,” the service said on its Twitter account.

“They succeeded in handling the incident with high precision and used sophisticated methods to remove the door of the lift, saving those inside without any of them got harmed.”
