Abu Dhabi: Saudi Maritime Border Guard patrols in Medina have rescued two citizens, whose boat broke down at sea, police said.

Lieutenant Colonel Misfir Bin Ghannam Al Quraini, the spokesperson for the Border Guard, said the owner of the boat reported it had broken down at sea and asked for help.

A marine patrol immediately headed to the site, and towed the boat to the berth of the Azizia, with two citizens on board, who were in good health.

The spokesperson called on all hikers and sea-goers to follow safety measures, and not hesitate to call the Border Guard emergency phone 994 to ask for help.
