Abu Dhabi: Saudi Arabia has again been selected at the chair of the Global Harmonisation Working Party (GHWP) of Medical Devices for 2021.

The chairmanship is renewed forthe fourth year in a row, under the Executive Vice President for Medical Products and Devices at the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, Engineer Ali bin Mohsen Al Dalaan.

The GHWP had a role during the coronavirus pandemic this year, as the Kingdom led coordination between the scientific and technical work teams of international organisations, such as the World Health Organisation, to work on confronting the pandemic.
