Dubai: Qatar has reported 283 new cases of the novel coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 109,715.
The virus claimed the lives of two people aged 23 and 73, due to complications caused by COVID-19, taking the country’s death toll to 167, the Ministry of Public Health said on Tuesday.
According to the ministry’s latest coronavirus updates, 275 infected patients have fully recovered, taking the total number of recovered cases to 106,603.
The ministry has conducted PCR tests for 4,736 people, bringing to the total number of examined people to 481,930.
There are 3,110 active cases, including 496 critical and 92 seriously ill patients under intensive care. The newly diagnosed patients have been put in health isolation where they receive the necessary treatment.
