Kuwait: Fuel tank exploded in Al Jahra

Firefighters put out flames after explosion



Kuwait City: A fuel tanker caught fire after it capsized on Al Jahra road, local media reported.

Major General Jamal Al Blaihis said that four teams were working to put out the fire and that the cooling process was underway.

The Public Relations and Media Department of the Fire Department said in a statment that "a report was received by the firefighting operations room, that a huge fire occurred due to a fuel tanker overturning."

Adding "Fire fighters from Al Jahra and Mubarak Al Kabeer were dispatched and were able to rapidly respond despite the flames affecting 3 vehicles and trees on the side of the road.”

The accident resulted in the injury of the tanker commander, an Arab national, who was transferred to the hospital for treatment.
