Comes as a continuation of efforts to combat corruption, says Anti-Corruption Authority

Dubai: Kuwait’s Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) referred a previous supervisor in the Ministry of Education to the Public Prosecution on charges of wasting public money, local media reported.
In a press statement, Nazaha said Saturday that the referral of this supervisor to the Public Prosecution comes as a continuation of efforts to combat corruption and its dangers, effects and prosecute its perpetrators. These efforts include receiving and verifying serious reports of corruption, the statement added.
It affirmed its intention to continue efforts and procedures regarding examining and collecting inferences and investigations in all serious communications received by it.
Nazaha expressed appreciation to whistleblowers in exercising their role with its assistance to gain access to the necessary information on incidents of corruption. It stressed commitment to providing them with the utmost levels of protection and confidentiality imposed by the law and the executive regulations.
