Kuwait City: The Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Sabah, offered his condolences to the Iraqi President, Barham Salih, and Prime Minister, Mustafa Al Kadhmi, after Thursday’s twin suicide blasts that left 32 dead and dozens 10 civilians.

“Kuwait strongly condemns these two acts that targeted the lives of innocent people and undermined security and stability in the brotherly country,” Sheikh Nawaf said in a cable.

The Kuwaiti Emir added that Kuwait rejects terrorism, in all its forms, and supports all measures taken by Iraq to confront such “criminal acts”.

Sheikh Nawaf also sent his condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery for those that were injured.
