Indian dentist becomes Kuwait’s second COVID-19 medical fatality

Cairo: An Indian dentist has died from COVID-19 in Kuwait, becoming the country’s second medical fatality due to the disease, Kuwaiti newspaper Al Qabas reported.

Dr Vasudeva Rao, 54, has died due to complications of the virus infection.

A resident of Kuwait for about 15 years, Dr Rao worked as an endodontist, the paper said.

On Friday, Egyptian ENT specialist Dr Tareq Hussain Mokheimer died of COVID-19, becoming Kuwait’s first such medical fatality.

Dr Mokheimer, 62, had worked in Kuwait for more than 20 years.
