COVID-19: Kuwait records 710 new cases, 4 fatalities

Latest cases take total to 29,359 infections, 230 deaths

Cairo: Kuwait has recorded 710 new cases of the novel coronavirus, raising the country's infection tally to 29,359, the Kuwaiti news agency KUNA reported Tuesday.

The Health Ministry also announced four more deaths from COVID-19, taking the total such fatalities in the country to 230.

All the new cases were in contact with previously infected people or are being investigated for sources of infection, the Health Ministry's spokesman Dr Abdullah Al Sanad said in a media update.

There are 191 patients receiving intensive care treatment, the official added.

The ministry said that 1,469 more patients have recovered from the disease, bringing to 15,750 the total of such recoveries in the country.
