The UAE Ministry of Education says schools will operate as normal and Monday despite the heavy rain that has hit the country.

The ministry confirmed the normal start time in a tweet on Sunday.

“The Ministry of Education confirms that tomorrow is a normal time for school students,” said the tweet, translated from Arabic.

Many parts of the UAE were hit by flooding on Sunday due to heavy rain.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) says the weather is expected to remain unstable until Wednesday.
