Kuwait: Missing child’s body found washed ashore

Kuwait City: After a week-long search, the Kuwait Fire Force’s Maritime Rescue Department recovered the dead body of a child that was found on the sea shore besides Kuwait Towers, local media reported.

In a press statement, the Kuwait Fire Force’s pointed out that a search team was sent out after two people on a fishing boat reported that they saw a body of a child floating on the surface.

The child was said to have gone missing after he drowned during a sailing trip with his father.

According to the autopsy report conducted, the child is said to have been lost at sea since last Saturday.

The firefighters urged sea goers to adhere to the safety requirements when sailing, to review the weather forecast and to ensure that all the equipment on the boat are functioning to avoid any communication issues, if needed.
