Interior Minsiter instructs Federal Investigation Agency for increase to help travellers

Karachi: Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has said the number of immigration counters at Karachi Airport should be doubled to facilitate the Pakistanis travelling abroad.
Ahmed gave orders to this effect as he toured the Jinnah International Airport (JIAP) of Karachi on Sunday.
He directed the Additional Director-General of Federal Investigation Agency that the number of immigration counters at the JIAP should be doubled within one month.
He said that doubling the number of immigration counters would ensure speedy completion of the immigration process of the Pakistanis travelling abroad.
He said the present government under the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan had been taking steps to promote tourism and commerce in the country.
Later speaking at a press conference, the Interior Minister informed media persons that the government would establish the offices in every small town of the country to issue the passports and computerized national identity cards to the citizens.
He gave credit to the Pakistan army for doing the work to fence the international borders of Pakistan for security purposes. He said the fencing work of Pakistan-Afghanistan border would complete by June 30 this year.
