How to get a student parking subscription in Dubai

Dubai: If you're a university or college student in Dubai or a member of the academic or administrative staff and rely on public parking daily, you can now apply for a parking subscription permit through Parkin, Dubai’s official public parking operator. This subscription offers a hassle-free parking experience near campuses, saving both time and money.

Why apply for a parking subscription?

With a Parkin subscription, you don’t need to pay each time you park. The permit allows unlimited daily parking in designated areas near your campus, so you don’t have to worry about renewing your parking time or getting fined for overstaying.

Students benefit even more with an 80 per cent discount on the monthly subscription fee, when applying with a valid student ID. This makes daily campus parking significantly more affordable and convenient.

Where does the subscription work?

The permit allows you to park in both roadside and plot parking spaces within Zones A, B, C, and D. These must be located within a 500-metre radius of your campus. This wide coverage gives you flexibility in finding available parking spots throughout the day.

You can choose to subscribe for one, three, six, or twelve months, depending on your needs. However, you can only link one vehicle to your subscription.

How much does it cost?

For students and staff, the parking subscription costs:

• Dh100 for one month

• Dh300 for three months

• Dh600 for six months

• Dh1,200 for a full year.

What documents do you need?

To apply for the parking subscription, you will need the following:

• Emirates ID

• Valid UAE driving licence

• Vehicle registration

• For students: a valid enrolment certificate and student ID

• For staff: proof of current employment at the university or college

How to apply

You can apply online through Parkin’s website at www.parkin.ae or by downloading the Parkin app. Once you’ve submitted your application and uploaded the required documents, you will receive confirmation and activation of your subscription if approved.

Other parking subscriptions available

For motorists who are not students or university staff, Parkin also offers parking subscriptions starting from Dh500 per month. These permits allow parking across Zones A, B, C, and D in various parts of Dubai.

There is also an option for a “plot-only” subscription, which grants access to specific parking areas marked with Zones B and D.

As of May, Parkin introduced subscription services are now available across all areas it manages. This includes high-density residential areas like Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai Hills, and Wasl Real Estate Communities, covering neighbourhoods such as Karama, Al Qusais, and Al Kifaf (Zones W and WP).
