Ultra-luxury residences on Raha Island feature designs by Giorgio Armani himself
Dubai: Ras Al Khaimah is set to become the home of the world's first Armani-branded villas, following a landmark partnership between Giorgio Armani and RAK Properties.
The new development, called Armani Beach Residences Ras Al Khaimah, will feature an exclusive collection of villas and luxury apartments on Raha Island, Mina, the companies said in a joint statement.
The project, which also involves the SIE Group, will see the Armani Group extend its signature aesthetic of sophisticated simplicity and timeless elegance into residential real estate, according to the statement.
Each residence is designed by Giorgio Armani and his team of architects, drawing inspiration from his homes. The villas will offer private beach access and uninterrupted views of the Arabian Gulf.
This launch coincides with the 25th anniversary of Armani/Casa and the 50th anniversary of the Giorgio Armani brand. The new residences are being billed as a new standard for ultra-luxury living in the emirate, with a focus on harmony with the natural environment.
Residents of the Armani Beach Residences will have access to a suite of bespoke luxury amenities, including an exclusive members-only beach club. A curated program of benefits and services will also be available, including special events, private experiences, and concierge services.
Giorgio Armani, Chairman and CEO of the Armani Group, said, “New projects related to living fascinate me because I can bring the way of thinking of Haute Couture, that is, the use of precious materials and unique, tailored creations, into the space where we live,” he said. “The villas developed in collaboration with RAK Properties... are designed to integrate into the evocative surrounding marine landscape, offering a unique lifestyle experience,” he added.
Meanwhile, Sameh Muhtadi, CEO of RAK Properties, said, “This transformative partnership with Armani is a testament to Ras Al Khaimah's growing appeal and our shared vision for the future of its premium real estate proposition,”.
He added, “This development will not only set new standards for elevated living in the emirate but will deliver lasting value and create an unparalleled lifestyle experience within Mina.” This development also marks a further expansion of the Armani brand's residential portfolio in the UAE, which already includes Armani Residences in Burj Khalifa and Palm Jumeirah.
RAK has been enjoying a significant boost in tourism numbers. Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) announced a strong performance for the first half of the year on Thursday, marking a new record for the destination with over 654,000 visitor arrivals, representing a 6 per cent year-on-year growth and a 9 per cent increase in tourism revenues.
“These half-year achievements are a clear testament to the strength of Ras Al Khaimah’s tourism offering and the impact of its focused strategy,” said Raki Phillips, CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority.
“From expanded air connectivity and high-profile hotel developments to strategic partnerships and a growing calendar of experiences and events, every milestone contributes to Ras Al Khaimah’s standing as one of the world’s fastest-growing destinations. With a clear vision to welcome over 3.5 million visitors annually by 2030, the Emirate is firmly on track to deliver long-term, sustainable value for its economy, communities and tourists," he added.
