Priority delivery, which will bring home the fuel in 20 minutes, will cost Dh20
Dubai: Fuel delivery service provider Cafu has announced it will be reintroducing a delivery fee for its services, effective today (April 24), a company spokesperson has confirmed to Gulf News.
These delivery fees will apply in addition to the existing Dh2.95 service fee, which covers "platform and operational costs", Cafu explained.
The new fee structure will vary depending on the service selected by the customer, it said.
Priority delivery, which brings home the delivery in 20 minutes will now cost customers Dh20 (22.95 including service fee). Standard delivery (up to 2 hours) will cost Dh16 (Dh18.95), and overnight delivery (12 am to 6 am) will be priced at Dh 12 (14.95).
Originally launched in 2018 with a standard delivery fee, Cafu waived fees during the pandemic. "Over the years since, the business absorbed increasing operational costs while continuing to prioritise speed and convenience — but as demand has grown and user expectations have evolved, so too has the needs of the services offered," the company said in a statement.
“Reintroducing delivery fees isn’t a decision we made lightly,” said Alaa El Huni, Chief Business and Expansion Officer of Cafu.
“But it’s the right one — not only to maintain the high standards our customers rely on, but to continue innovating for the future. This move enables us to reinvest in our infrastructure and deliver on the premium experience Cafu is known for. This is a small change, but one that will help us serve our customers better — today and in the long run," said Huni.
