As part of its continued commitment to strengthening its international presence and exchanging expertise with leading global entities in the field of travel and aviation, the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) participated in the “TITAMIC Users Forum” organized by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) within the activities of the Global Passenger Symposium, held in Istanbul from November 3 to 6, 2025.
The delegation was headed by Major General Talal Ahmed Al Shanqiti, Assistant Director General for the Airports Affairs Sector, accompanied by several officers from the same sector. The delegation highlighted Dubai’s pioneering innovations in managing passenger movement and simplifying procedures, in addition to presenting the latest smart solutions that enhance the efficiency of airports and ensure a seamless travel experience.
The Directorate affirmed that its participation in this global event comes as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen strategic partnerships with international organizations concerned with the aviation and travel sectors and to explore the latest systems and technologies supporting a safe and integrated digital travel experience—further reinforcing Dubai’s position as one of the world’s leading travel gateways.
Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai, said “Our participation in this global forum reflects our leadership’s vision of making Dubai a distinguished model in efficient ports and passenger experience management. We continue to adopt digital solutions and enhance international cooperation to ensure Dubai airports remain at the forefront of destinations offering an exceptional travel experience that embodies our nation’s values of leadership, innovation, and service to humanity.”
Major General Talal Ahmed Al Shanqiti explained that the conference represented an important opportunity to exchange knowledge and showcase Dubai’s pioneering experiences in airport management, emphasizing that GDRFA Dubai continues its efforts to achieve integration between human expertise and technology to ensure the highest levels of operational efficiency.
He said: “We follow a proactive approach aimed at developing the smart travel ecosystem and expanding international cooperation with institutions related to the aviation sector, reflecting the advanced position Dubai has achieved in managing ports and facilitating passenger movement worldwide.”
The Directorate concluded by reaffirming that this participation falls within its continuous efforts to support the Government of Dubai’s vision of enhancing quality of life and developing proactive government services based on innovation, knowledge, and global partnerships, solidifying Dubai’s status as a global capital for the future and smart travel.
