Jumping red light causes 51 accidents in Dubai
Dubai Police warn against dangers of traffic violation that carries Dh50,000 fine

Dubai: Dubai Police on Sunday said they had recorded 51 accidents involving motorists crossing a red light during the past seven months.
Warning drivers about the dangers of jumping the red light, they reminded them of the stiff penalties that the violation can incur.
The traffic violation is punishable with a Dh50,000 fine, besides 30-day vehicle confiscation and the imposition of 23 black points on the driver’s licence.
