Dubai: If you ever find yourself in an emergency situation, it is essential that you have a basic reference to the hotlines you can call to seek help, whether it is an accident, a medical emergency, a fire at your home or a power outage.

Here is a handy guide to all the numbers you can reach out to in the UAE, in case of an emergency.

The essential emergency response services in the UAE are easy to contact through three-digit numbers.

999 for Police

998 for Ambulance

997 for Fire Department (Civil Defence)

996 for Coastguard

991 for electricity failure

Non-emergency numbers

However, it is important to only contact them in case of emergency situations, to ensure they are not flooded with queries that can be addressed by other authorities. For example, if you would like to contact the police for a non-emergency situation, like a minor accident, which does not involve any human injury, you can call the police department’s customer service number – 901.
