Abu Dhabi: the Yemeni military court on Wednesday issued a death sentence against Abdul Malik Al Houthi, leader of the Al Houthi militia, and 173 others.
The court also confiscated their money for involvement in the military coup against the regime and the legitimate and constitutional authorities, collaborating with Iran, and committing military and war crimes.
Yemeni Minister of Information, Muammar Al Eryani, said the officer in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Hassan Idris Irlo (Iranian) was indicted, on charges of entering the Yemeni territory disguised as a spy, and participating in these crimes with the Al Houthis.
Al Eryani pointed out that the court ruled to designate the Al Houthi group as a terrorist organisation, ban its activities, disband and confiscate its property, disarm weapons, ammunition and military equipment from them and hand them over to the Ministry of Defense,” and oblige the government to develop “a comprehensive national strategy to eliminate discrimination between Yemenis on the grounds of race, color, origin, or sect.”
Al Eryani added the ruling of the military court, headed by Judge Aqil Taj Al Din, President of the Court, issued a ruling in Criminal Case no. 4 of 2020, prosecuting Iran before the international criminal court, to prove its involvement with the Al Houthi group in the crimes in question.
