The Make A Wish Foundation has granted the wishes of 30 children during Ramadan. The foundation said that it was able to achieve this thanks to donations it received from local bodies and thanks to a positive response and donations from Emiratis and residents.

It added that the some of the children whose wishes were granted were in Yemen and Jordan, and different emirates.

The foundation said that all children who wished to obtain electronic devices had their wishes granted.

It pointed out that the move was carried out under the directives of Shaikha Shaikha Bint Saif Bin Mohammad Al Nahyan, Honorary Chairperson of the Foundation and wife of Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, the President’s Adviser. The foundation said that the move aims to bring joy to the hearts of different members of society, and particularly smiles to the faces of children suffering from critical illnesses.

In a statement on the occasion, Hani Al Zubaidi, CEO of Make A Wish Foundation in the UAE, said that this charitable and humanitarian initiative during Ramadan also coincides with Zayed Humanitarian Day and the Year of Zayed.
