Canon Middle East has announced the winners of its regional photography competition titled “Celebrating Cultures – How Do You See Your World?''.
With more than 1200 entries from 13 countries, the grand prize was awarded to Moroccan photographer Mustapha Meskine for ‘Fantasia des couleurs', UAE photographer Danilo Aquino for his photograph ‘An Emirati Supper', and to Dany Eid from Egypt for ‘Subsidized Bread- A Challenge'.
The Canon photography competition encouraged photographers of all ability to submit a cultural, historical or heritage-inspired photograph of their country for a chance to win a state of the art DSLR Canon camera – the EOS 1000 D, say organisers.
Out of a total of 13 winners, 3 grand prize winners have won an all-expense paid trip to attend a Gulf Photo Plus workshop in Dubai between April 1st and May 1st, 2009.
