The Asus Zen AiO Pro is the company’s big bang into the all-in-one PC segment. In a dowward spiralling industry, the Zen line-up has seen some success and the AiO Pro shows reasonable promise altogether.

The specs of the AiO Pro will definitely quicken the pulse of any PC enthusiast. A display that measures only 23.8 inches manages to stuff in an i7-6700T processor, 8GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB HDD with 128GB SSD, Nvidia GTX 960M graphics card, Full HD display, and even Intel’s RealSense camera.

Now, there’s always a but when it comes to so much good news. In this case, it’s the price. The Zen AiO Pro comes at a thought-inducing price of Dh6,500. That’s a decent amount of money to be spent on an all-in-one with a small 23.8-inch display.

In day-to-day usage, the Zen AiO Pro is a pleasure to use. Videos look great, text is easy to read and work is a breeze. I did notice a few glitches with video playback but these could also be attributed to software so I’m not going to stress on that too much. I don’t understand the massive bezels on the screen but these weren’t a deal-breaker either. This isn’t your ideal gaming partner but definitely can handle the job better than the rest in the segment. The speakers are good (for an all-in-one unit). They produce decent sound with considerable bass.

Another thing I noticed when I opened the box was the peripherals given with the device, the keyboard and mouse. They feature less-than-appealing plastic bodies that have a very toy-like feel, which is something I really didn’t expect for a device that has a significant price tag.

There are a decent number of competitors out there offering the same device and specs, but this is definitely the best in the PC lot. If performance is what you’re looking for in a compact package, the Zen AiO Pro is your front-running choice.
