Abu Dhabi: A total of 67 violations and 53 warnings have recently been issued by municipal authorities in the capital to construction consultants and contractors who failed to comply with the applicable health and safety requirements, the Abu Dhabi City Municipality announced in a statement issued om Sunday.

The violations were detected during a three-day inspection of construction sites in Abu Dhabi island, Reem Island, Al Raha Beach, Yas Island, Al Saadiyat Island, Khalifa City, Shakhbout City and Mohammad Bin Zayed City. At various construction sites, safe standards for work-at-height were not maintained. In addition, temporary fencing on-site was not set up, building materials were stored illegally, firefighting equipment was not maintained or waste was dumped illegally.
