A powerful godfather watching your back in Bollywood is not a new thing. But actress Pakhi Tyrewala (born Punarva Mehta) has gone one step ahead. The wife of director Abbas Tyrewala, who makes her debut as a leading lady in Jhootha Hi Sahi as the suicidal Mishka, says she has landed a "God-husband" instead. tabloid! takes you inside Pakhi's world:

Tell us more about your first scene in front of the camera?

It was not an easy one. My first scene was the one where I meet Sid [John Abraham] for the first time, then all hell breaks loose. It was intense and elaborate. As the days went by, acting got easier though. I have wanted to be an actress since the age of three.

Is it true that you are John Abraham's discovery?

You heard right. After I wrote the script for Jhootha Hi Sahi, I went to narrate it to John. He was like: ‘why don't you play Mishka?' Then he suggested it to Abbas and then the rest is history.

How difficult was it to take orders from your husband on set?

Abbas is the only boss I have ever known. I assisted him in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. So this was just an extension. When he asked me to jump, I asked how high and not why.

Did you know?

Jhootha Hi Sahi ran into controversy when Hollywood studio giants Warner Bros demanded a screening of the film, fearing that some of its characters resembled those from their hit sitcom Friends. tabloid! asks the principal players about the controversy:

John Abraham: "That's just bulls***. It's ridiculous, uncalled for and a cheap publicity stunt. Jhootha has the feel-good factor of Notting Hill."

Abbas Tyrewala: "I don't do re-makes, even if they pay me money for it. So why should I try to copy Friends or any other person's work. It's ridiculous."

Pakhi Tyrewala: "I am tempted to challenge Warner Bros. If they find no similarity, then Warner Bros should buy the script and make a Hollywood film — with John and me in the lead."
