Just in time for the holiday season shopping spree, Dior has teamed up with the legendary Harrods department store in London to come up with The Fabulous World of Dior which judging by the photos is basically what you’d expect to find inside Santa’s workshop in a winter wonderland.
The presentation includes a fully illuminated iconic look for the store facade complete with a 17-metre tall central sculpture, and illuminated halls and rooms full of thousands of surprises and gourmet treats for shoppers. Running until January 3, 2023, The Fabulous World of Dior also includes two pop-ups as well as a Café and some stunning works of scenography for the windows displays made of gingerbread with details made of sugar and caramel.
The first pop-up boutique is also designed as a gingerbread house inspired by 30 Montagne, the iconic address of Dior’s flagship location opened in 1946. The second pop-up is a gift shop with Dior knitwear, shoes, ready-to-wear as well as homeware items and capsule collections.
Visitors can experience loads more in The Fabulous World of Dior, such as creations exclusively though-up for Harrods this season as well as a brand new men’s capsule collection. In addition, two new spaces are dedicated entirely to fragrances and make-up, plus there’s an exhibition of miniature Dior landmarks for shoppers to check out in the heart of the department store - made entirely out of cookies, the miniatures represent Dior’s workshops, gardens, and Châteaus.
And when all the shopping is done there is Café Dior, a gingerbread tea-house, in full scale this time, serving Cornish crab with green apple, Atlantic lobster Thermidor, or a roasted chestnut velouté with winter chanterelles…
