In the wake of the enthusiastic and increasing uptake of its products, furniture and furnishings store chain Homes r Us has opened a new and bigger outlet in Sharjah spread over 40,000 square foot.

"The opening of this purpose-built, new and bigger outlet follows the tremendous response to our temporary outlet in Sharjah," said Jayant Ganwani, CEO, Lals Group, which operates the Homes r Us business.

"We made a concerted decision to relocate the earlier outlet to Al Qasmia Street as part of consolidating our position in Sharjah. With the opening of this larger and more convenient outlet, we are confident to establish ourselves as the preferred one-stop shop for home furnishings and furniture."

The group is one of the most diversified business conglomerates in the UAE headquartered in Dubai and has multiple interests in retail, trading and hospitality.

Ganwani said the group has mapped out an aggressive expansion strategy for Homes r Us, both across the UAE and the region.

Underscoring the company's commitment to the GCC region and strategy to aggressively expand the chain across the region, he said Homes r Us outlets have also met with tremendous success in the other emirates — Abu Dhabi and Dubai as well as in Kuwait. The first Homes r Us store in Doha is slated to open this Eid.

"With Homes r Us, we hope to break new ground by introducing a repertoire of new and innovative lifestyle offerings sourced from the best known manufacturers from around the world at affordable prices. We will also, over a period of time, develop our own range of branded products that will serve to complement our product range," added Ganwani.

Viraf Raimalwala, general manager, Homes r Us said the new store would be in line with the development plans of the company to introduce the finest furniture and furnishings of international standards.
