Abu Dhabi: Jean Luc Guiziou, President of Total in the UAE, stressed the important role played by the UAE in achieving stability in the world’s energy markets.
Guiziou said that the UAE will remain a key player in energy production for years to come, and emphasised the importance of Total’s participation in Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference 2012 (Adipec), which he described as one of the most important global events pertaining to the global oil and gas industry. He pointed out that most advanced equipment in gas and oil industry will be on display in Total’s pavilion at Adipec.“Adipec captures our interest thanks to the high quality of organisation, and because it concerns all sectors related to the gas and oil industry. It is also an ideal opportunity for to participate in the event and present their recent projects in the UAE, region and Arab world,” said Guiziou. Guiziou pointed out that Total has been operating in the UAE for 75 years now, and that the company still plays a key role in transporting gas and oil production technology to the UAE and region.
