Auto mechanics received free medical checks and discounted rates on prescribed medicines from Aster Clinics and Hospitals, valid for a year across the healthcare company’s network in UAE and Bahrain. They could avail of the services using the Castrol Magnatec Wellness card.

Castrol’s Wellness campaign encouraged mechanics to undergo preventive health check-ups and promote health awareness amongst economically disadvantaged community members.

“The objective was to reach out to all the auto mechanics in both UAE & Bahrain to spread health awareness and provide them the opportunity to reach out to the medical experts in their neighbourhood,” the company said.

To help the mechanics, the Castrol team also said it made door-to-door visits to all the auto garages. The 13,000 mechanics who reached out during the campaign and underwent wellness checks received a cobranded Castrol/Aster Wellness card.

“Castrol’s Wellness campaign encouraged all the mechanics to undergo preventive health check-ups and promote health awareness amongst economically disadvantaged populations,” said the company.
