And the Instragram winner is… Dubai Mall.
The mall, which is the largest in the world by area size, came at the top of the list of the most Instagrammed places in Dubai with nearly 2.77 million posts on Instagram, a recent survey showed.
Dubai Mall was followed by Burj Khalifa, which was part of 2.254 million posts. Dubai Marina came in the third with 1.24 million posts followed by Burj Al Arab with 1.04 million posts.
The survey, which took the whole month of March to finalise, was conducted by HolidayFactors.com, a start-up online travel market place. The portal was established in 2017 to offer tourists more information provided by travel and holiday agencies.
The survey covers the period from when Instagram was established until today, said Navas Azeez, public relation officer at HolidayFactors.com.
Azeez told Gulf News Dubai Mall’s top rating was because it is a “shopping area accessible to a lot of people”.
Also in the top 20 instagrammed places in Dubai were JBR, Downtown Dubai, Global Village, Palm Jumeirah, Atlantis Dubai, Madinat Jumeirah, Mall of the Emirates. Dubai Creek, Ski Dubai, Miracle Garden, Dubai Opera, Wild Wadi and Dubai Frame.
