Dubai: A Saudi teacher has won the hearts of millions of people after he saved the life of a student who almost choked to death, Saudi media reported
A video of the incident has gone viral on social media. The video shows the student geting up from his seat and shows signs of choking when the teacher rushes to his rescue. As the student is seen struggling, the teacher bends him forward and performs abdominal thrusts, thereby clearing his airway.
The teacher is then seen escorting the student out of the class and taking him to the school clinic.
According to media reports, the teacher, identified as Issa bin Ahmed Namazi, was honoured in appreciation of his efforts. The incident took place at Al Manahj School in Riyadh.
