Dubai: A number of social media celebrities are sought by Saudi authorities after appearing in an “outrageous video” and sharing that video on their social media accounts, local media reported.

According to Al Ekhbariya TV, Saudi security forces are now on the lookout for all participants in a “dance party” where many social media celebrities took part and appeared in “indecent clips” that have gone viral on social media.

A number of women were performing choreographed dances at the party along with dozens of participants. The event clearly exceeded the COVID-19 limit on numbers set by the Saudi Ministry of Interior, with no precautionary measures being implemented, either.

Clips of the party have since gone viral on social media with many Saudi activists demanding that authorities hold all participants accountable for breaching COVID-19 rules. According to Al Watan Newspaper, the event was sponsored by a marketing agency that is responsible for representing celebrities.
