Cairo: Saudi police have arrested a man suspected of having stabbed several people without a clear motive, according to media reports.
The attacks took place in the Governorate of Sabya in the region of Jizan in south-western Saudi Arabia.
The assailant had stabbed three people - two foreigners and a Saudi citizen - and escaped after the attacks, triggering panic amid locals, Sabq newspaper reported.
The victims have sustained various wounds.
The suspect, a Saudi national, was tracked and later arrested, according to the report.
Investigations are under way to unravel the mystery of the attacks and the motive.
