Abu Dhabi: Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Deputy Minister of Defense, stressed that the efforts led by Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, have resulted in “the acceptance of the Yemeni government and the Southern Transitional Council of the mechanism proposed by Saudi Arabia to accelerate and operationalise implementation of the Riyadh Agreement, with the aim of achieving security, stability, peace and development in Yemen.

Prince Khalid said on his Twitter account, “The participation of Yemeni political leaders with the Kingdom to reconcile views and reach consensus on the proposed mechanism for implementing the Riyadh Agreement is a role model for the possibility of resolving Yemeni differences through dialogue without the need to use military force.”

He added, “Yemen’s security, stability, and strong return as an active member in its Gulf and Arab surroundings represent a major goal of the Yemeni legitimacy alliance, and the” Riyadh Agreement “is a key factor in reaching this, in addition to supporting the efforts of the UN envoy to Yemen to reach a comprehensive political solution in Yemen.”
