Dubai: Saudi Arabia will host a virtual global forum on sustainable production in the health sector, titled “Recovering Better after COVID-19”, on November 18 and 19.

The two-day forum is organised by the Saudi Food and Drug Authority and the Saudi Secretariat of the G20, on the sidelines of Saudi Presidency of the G20.

The event will be held in collaboration with the UN Development Program, the Secretariat of the UN informal Interagency Task Team on Sustainable Procurement in the Health Sector and Health Care without Harm, with support from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency.

The forum offers an opportunity for suppliers, manufacturers, policymakers, technical experts, academia, civil society organisations and other bodies actively engaged in the global health sector to explore the front-running sustainable and ethical consumption and production patterns and the latest public and private innovations on the sustainable procurement and manufacturing of health commodities.
