Saudi Arabia reports new 4-month low in COVID-19 cases

Kingdom’s overall recoveries up to 288,441; death toll at 3,840

Dubai: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health recorded 987 new coronavirus cases on Saturday, a further decrease from yesterday, marking a new four-month low in daily recorded cases.

This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 313,911.

Meanwhile, the ministry reported another 1,038 new recoveries and 27 more fatalities, taking the overall recoveries to 288,441 and deaths to 3,840.

Mecca and Tabuk saw the highest increase with 69 and 58 new cases respectively, followed by Jeddah with 51 new cases and Riyadh with 38 cases as well as Jazan 44 cases.

There were 21,630 active cases in the Kingdom of which 1,555 were in a critical condition, with the recovery rate reaching 92 per cent, according to the ministry.
